It was amazing how quiet the neighbourhood was when I woke up to find the power was out up and down the street. The only noticable noise was the quiet, regular beep of the security alarm downstairs which had switched to battery power.
powercuts are awesome. we had a load here recently cos the power was messed up. i wanted to suggest we have them every month. all the people come down from their aparments and hang out in the courtyard. it's awesome.
